This piece, made up of four separate prints, explores the challenges of documenting “progress”; particularly when it is entangled with the oppressive forces of gentrification. The photographs use a gradual developing film process to reveal an obscured view of Stony Island Avenue in Chicago, a site currently undergoing transformation as part of an architectural development (The Obama Presidential Library).
